Every person wishing to work on a construction site in the UK needs to have a CSCS card. To get your CSCS card you need to pass the Health and Safety test.

RESCHEDULE POLICY:

You must contact us no later than 4 full clear working days before the date of your test to reschedule your test.

This does not include the day of the call, the day of the test, weekends or Bank Holidays.

For example if your test is on a Friday you must contact us by the previous Monday to reschedule your test at no fee.

If you contact us within the penalty period to reschedule you will have to pay for the test at full cost.

You must bring ID bearing both signature and photograph such as your current Passport or UK Photo Driving License.

The test that you should apply for depends on your occupation or qualification.

There are a number of tests that you can apply for – for example if you are a labourer you can apply for a operative test , if you’re a plumber- the test you would do is plumbing and gas test.

It would all depend on your occupation and your NVQ or City and Guild Qualification’s for example if you had an NVQ level 3 in a supervisor course you would do a supervisory test.

Operative- Basic Health & Safety test gives you access onto site and is obligatory for everyone who wants to receive NVQ Level 1 in the Construction Industry.

Supervisor- is Obligatory for individuals who want to apply for a supervisory card and has NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supervision.

Managerial & Professional- is obligatory for a person who wants to apply for Managerial Card or Manager Trainee card and who has NVQ Level 4 or 5. There is also a profession accreditation rout to gain this card.

Highways- is obligatory for people who work on big roads and highways.

Working at Heights- is obligatory for everyone who does works at heights, scaffolding or outside roofing jobs.

Plumbing or Gas- is obligatory test for plumbers with NVQ Level 3 or 4 as other occupations that are accredited for JIB card.
